At Scentsleep, we researched ways we can promote general well-being and found that through the use of aromatherapy, we can reduce stress levels minimise anxiety, keep the mind and body calm and relaxed and improve sleep patterns.

What is AROMATHERAPY?
Aromatherapy is a holistic treatment that uses natural plant extracts to promote health and well-being.

The term aromatherapy was coined by René-Maurice Gattefossé in the early 20th century after accidentally treating a burn with a vat of lavender oil.

Aromatherapy works through sense of smell and skin absorption. When inhaled, the scent molecules in essential oils travel from the olfactory nerves directly to the brain and especially impact the amygdala, the emotional center of the brain.
